Quoted from High_End_Pins:

Here is a picture of the originals
[quoted image]

Yeah, that's the same as my original.

#3102 4 years ago

Setting up the pivot brackets for drilling now.
The left inner is a perfect template for the right inner if mounted outside.

Playfield is test fit.

image (resized).jpgimage (resized).jpg
#3104 4 years ago

Never thought I would be jealous of another man's wire spools.

#3105 4 years ago

Big Time cabinet is gutted of all useful parts and ready to take back over to the warehouse. image (resized).jpgimage (resized).jpg

I will build up and wire a coin door assembly next and start working through the transformer panel.

image (resized).jpgimage (resized).jpg
#3106 4 years ago

Playfield is removed from the cabinet now and I will take some parts off to be nickel plated. image (resized).jpgimage (resized).jpg

I will also go through the wiring and fix as much as I can without just stripping it and redoing it entirely.
That is something I could do and justify but knowing someone already paid a premium for the game I am going to try and salvage as much.
Things like this must go. image (resized).jpgimage (resized).jpg
image (resized).jpgimage (resized).jpg
They are shorts that are just waiting to happen.

#3107 4 years ago

It always amazes me that someone would do a cabinet and playfield swap but not change the coil sleeves.

Wow. Sad sign of the “doll collector” direction this hobby has gone in. Your games are beautiful inside and out.

Quoted from High_End_Pins:

A new heavy duty cord is used and new line filter. [quoted image]
Extended wiring and thoughtful placement allows me to install it in a more ideal place. [quoted image]
The cord is a good length as well.
[quoted image]

the corcom line filters can be found here:

ES is the latest arrival

image (resized).jpgimage (resized).jpg
#3120 4 years ago

Did the ES arrive standing on it's legs? How often do you receive games like that?

#3121 4 years ago

What is that contraption on TZ?

#3122 4 years ago
Quoted from High_End_Pins:

The ramp has the initial cut and fit checked.
[quoted image][quoted image]

You reckon you can part with those dr who ramp decals?

What are you doing with a Munsters NIB? Or did someone just ship a pin in a Stern box?

#3129 4 years ago

Not a Munsters Premium

Something even better
A new HARLEM Globetrotters cabinet

#3130 4 years ago

Now just about finished wiring up a door for the Fathom.

image (resized).jpgimage (resized).jpgimage (resized).jpgimage (resized).jpg
#3131 4 years ago

Edit: nevermind! But I'll go ahead and leave the advice here for any other Munsters owners.

If you're tweaking that Munsters premium for a customer, I have one very specific piece of advice. On the lower playfield, fast shots to the right ramp will jump the opto 90% of the time. (Backhands are the fast shots. It's tough to make that ramp at all from the tiny left flipper.)

For my friend's LE, we wedged a small piece of clear plastic over that part of the ramp as a ceiling to force the ball down and break that opto on every shot. I'm sure your solution would be more elegant.

#3132 4 years ago

Back at the warehouse.
Playfields are stacking up again.

image (resized).jpgimage (resized).jpg
Marshall will be 19 on Easter Sunday.
Going to celebrate his birthday tomorrow so he can enjoy both the birthday and Easter independently.
Even though he is technically going to be 19 he is probably on about a fifth grade level so it is still like having a much younger child as a result this is the cake he wanted. image (resized).jpgimage (resized).jpg

My parents sent him a card with a couple hundred dollars in it. He doesn’t read the card and would throw the money away if we didn’t intervene.
image (resized).jpgimage (resized).jpg

There is something really neat about that view of money in my eyes. So many people are ruled by it but to have no concept or care about it at all?Cool!
I have had one of his gifts stashed in my toolbox all month.

image (resized).jpgimage (resized).jpg
#3134 4 years ago

AFM is on on hold pending payment.

#3135 4 years ago

Happy Birthday, Marshall! My kids birthday is on Easter, too. I'm planning an egg hunt mixed with finding their hidden presents. Eggs will have clues in them. Even though my kids are teenagers, they still love that stuff.

#3136 4 years ago

You can tell him that's a Marshall amp on the cake!

#3137 4 years ago

Thanks guys.
Marshall loves rock and roll and heavy metal music.
He laments and chants half the day about how he both loves rock and roll and hates rap.
Kid has no filter at all can be a challenge at a restaurant or the grocery store especially these last 10 years

Nice! Are you using new door skins? I got one from Marco and it doesn’t look near as good as that one.

Got this email from Amazon and it is so tempting to answer.

My answer would be

“No but it will definitely clean a dirty pussy”

Seriously why in the hell would someone even ask or consider using this product for that purpose?

#3141 4 years ago

We live in an interesting world.

#3142 4 years ago

this is why they have to put obvious things in the warning labels.

#3143 4 years ago
Quoted from bflagg:

Yes. I get them from Marco as well and half the time they are scratched up which really pisses me off and defeats the purpose of buying one.
They come with the sticky film on them so you really don’t know what you’re getting until you peel it off and clean the glue residue off.
That being the case I buy an extra just in case.

#3144 4 years ago

Fathom has anew door and frame installed on the HEP cabinet.

Where did you get the HG cabinet? Would love to restore mine, I think a new cab would be better than trying to save the water damaged one I have.

#3147 4 years ago

TZ is set up.

image (resized).jpgimage (resized).jpgimage (resized).jpgimage (resized).jpgimage (resized).jpgimage (resized).jpg
#3148 4 years ago

Interesting...modded TZ...wonder which direction this is going and if all the mods survive!!!!

#3149 4 years ago

Mods survive... bah! Throw those mods in the trash. The customer is always right though!

#3150 4 years ago

Ready to gut the TZ.

I like to start in the head because it frees up a lot of the wiring.
This game has lots of wiring to sort out and already has two Rottendog boards. Hopefully they are solid and trouble free.
