IJ switch harness is finally rebuilt and in place.
This IJ is a major undertaking with those wiring hacks.
Everything on plugs now.

Working on the IJ lamp harness.
I need to run some new feature lamp strands the full length of the harness

Fathom 1 cabinet is dried to the final gloss level. Traditional is what was requested.
image (resized).jpgimage (resized).jpgimage (resized).jpgimage (resized).jpg

This highlights full gloss verses a more subdued traditional gloss level. image (resized).jpgimage (resized).jpg
Head is moved into safer quarters as well.

#2963 5 years ago

Walls are coming up on the new addition.
image (resized).jpgimage (resized).jpg
We have a door now.

image (resized).jpgimage (resized).jpgimage (resized).jpgimage (resized).jpg
#2964 5 years ago

Wow, I really love that traditional gloss level on the Fathom cabinet. Just perfect!

Making progress on IJ.
Lamp harness just about in order.

All sockets are new. Some were traded out for better more reliable styles. image (resized).jpgimage (resized).jpg

Dave

I can’t take too much credit for that. My first job at 16 was a carpenter’s helper 30 years later I am still just that but the old timer and I are getting it done.
The guy that helps me on these projects is about 76 or so and I just hope that in 30 more years I will be as sharp and active.
This is our fourth build together in 15 years.
Seeing a guy his age cutting wood climbing ladders and talking shit is inspiring.
Sometimes the cuts are rough and the nail gun accuracy is questionable but nothing I don’t spot or correct and it gets done plus it is a good time.

Excellent Chris. We all spend a lifetime learning stuff..

Every time I see your posts I try to learn things about techniques etc... when people post about repairs they make, even on games I don't have I read to learn.

Even so, I am going to guess you are a much better carpenter then you give yourself credit for.

Never go balls deep on a Wednesday afternoon after doing both pinball and construction work.

You won’t make it to 8 pm.
