I am making a new harness for the GI to the transformer.
image (resized).jpg
I have already repinnned and replaced the connector
The style will be different.

The new wires will be doubled at the connector for the transformer so the loops won’t be needed at the header on the board.
Will make for less heat. A total of eight full length wires now in place.
Damn Chris. Those are little details that are so integral to the quality of your work and completely unnoticeable to everyone.
It reminds that the true mark of a craftsmen is attention to detail that nobody will ever see.

I am painting the new playfield rails and old backboard to match the apron which is the lighter shade of blue used on the cabinet not the main color.

Took this much water to dilute it. The entire liter. image (resized).jpg
My stomach will be sloshing as I clear the rails no doubt.

TZ playfield structurally is now sound.
Repairs made with fiberglass. 633F3689-3C1F-4D1F-BAEC-CF82E96636E5 (resized).jpeg2F028B4B-4003-4AC1-A5E9-2B6A35223FD3 (resized).jpeg28743799-4EDA-4CD8-9ACE-E78D06B9B53F (resized).jpeg
Then sanded and shaped. I filled a couple screw holes as well that look a little wallowed out.
image (resized).jpgimage (resized).jpgimage (resized).jpgimage (resized).jpgChris, amazing work as always.
What do you do with playfields that are replaced? I'm interested in buying some as art.

Thanks
I return them to the owners if requested and if not I use them for templates or occasionally list them for sale after they accumulate to a point of getting in the way.
Quoted from Dallas_Pin:Chris, what type/brand of fiberglass do you use for your playfield repairs?
Usually evercoat tiger hair if it is minimal.
If really bad I would probably break out the pure fiberglass resin and mat.
Quoted from Dallas_Pin:Thank you sir!
Do you use the same on small cabinet repairs?
Quoted from High_End_Pins:Yes that is it. Or it was depending on how you look at it.
So it was prototype?
TZ is all set for the next clear. image (resized).jpg
Next I want to prep the IPB CV playfield I am doing as a favor to a friend.
image (resized).jpg
The clear is terrible.
image (resized).jpg
JTC insert is a mess.
image (resized).jpg
The volt insert sucks.
image (resized).jpg
Pretty sure this was done with a sharpie.
image (resized).jpgQuoted from Balaraform:So it was prototype?
No that was just a sample game.
I have a prototype here though.
Quoted from fossmin:Do you use the same on small cabinet repairs?
Depending on the size and location of the repair yes.
Quoted from YZRider926:Where do you get your beers from? You always seem to have something different.
I hunt around.
I mostly mail order from Bruisin Ales or Craftshack
You pay more but when it comes to beer or fish it all ends up in the sewer anyway.
This was the same Frog that shut me down last night.
Toris the Tyrant but that was after teaming it with the Tuesday beer. Today I pace myself like Richie Cunningham with the small glasses
image (resized).jpg
Quoted from YZRider926:Thanks Chris. Looks like I’m out on the mail order, don’t ship to VA.
I know VA,PA and few others don’t allow it. Good work around is to find a Pinsider and do beer trades.
Quoted from Calipindave:Damn Chris.... Beer on call.... you are one lucky man
Dave
It is true.
My wife and I have been together since we were in our mid teens.
She is the true definition of a homemaker.
Very rare these days.
She takes care of us I take care of everything else. Everything we do here is old school. It is a way of life from the work to the woman
Quoted from Pbpins:The phone is down to 5%, better get that charging or there will be no more beer texts!
Yeah.
I have a charger out here
Even a WiFi satellite.

Not a bad idea. Getting into home brewing so was hoping to try some different styles.
