Quoted from PinMonk:

Completely sexy. I actually like this pin quite a bit despite the critical consensus, and the Midnight Madness mode is one of the coolest to date.

I actually enjoyed this one myself.

Thanks for all of the pics of your work. Those pics can be so valuable for those of us restoring games. I'm close to putting my JM back together and I will be referencing these pics as well as my own in the process.

Hey Chris, question here that I hope you don’t mind/that I figure maybe others have wondered about.

When you paint cabinets, do you color match the primer to the base coat paint color? From what I’ve seen on your guide coating posts, color match is less on your mind than finding the low spots and getting a smooth surface, so a contrasting primer is where it’s at.

I’m about to paint 4 cabinets, and am probably going to use automotive paints and primer. Before ordering all my supplies, I was wondering if you recommend using primers tinted to match the background?
2 of the cabinets are orange (Solar Fire), one is blue (Spirit), and one is black (Centaur.)

New week.
This will be a big one for me. Four years of this HEP thread and my 50th birthday later this week.
Starting to prep some cabinets for my continued IJ run and WH20.
JM is heading out today so I can work my next non ES,IJ,WH20 projects in.
Will be PM and Congo.

It drug out just a little because the IJ nightmare keeps surprising me butI am getting a handle on it.
I just can’t leave something like that alone knowing what I do it haunts me

Happy Birthday Chris! Welcome to the 50's club! LOL

You know a business is legit when a pin is wrapped like that for PICKUP. I've seen less packaging on pins being shipped long distance!

Well done as always!

I made a playlist that has at least two songs from each year I have been alive. We haven’t made it out of the 70s yet.
Marshall loves this one.
It’s always so interesting to see what will peak his interest.
I have enjoyed being this guys father so much!!
I think a big part of that is he never “grows up”. It’s awesome.

Happy Birthday Chris!

Very curious about the large metal orbit guide for IJ that you got- is that something you had done via a service like sendcutsend? I was planning on recreating that part in Fusion360 and having SendCutSend make it for my IJ build project- would love to hear if someone already has a CAD file for it.

#11686 1 year ago

Happy Birthday Chris. You're looking pretty darn great at 50. Thank you again for keeping this thread. It's my all time favorite place to go every day.

Thanks again for all the great comments and encouragement.
I managed to polish and shape my IJ nightmare large ball guide despite getting a late slow start today.
Probably best explained on my YouTube series but here are some pictures.

Great work Chris. I've actually just spent a lot of time going through this thread. I've always heard about your restorations, but have to say the level of detail is beyond what I had imagined! I wondering if you you would share your "go to" for cabinet decals?

Great work!

Cabinet art is really hard to specify one source for these days.
Some make art for games others don’t.
If it’s next generation then Mr Pinball AU makes the best versions of that.
PinballdecalsEU is great for many titles no one else has and the material is good.
Outside Edge has recently started making some titles and that is excellent but a little limited right now. I believe once they get a bigger library of titles that will become the go to source.

Finished wiring the IJ(PR)
Will drop that in the cabinet in a few and it will wrap up quickly.
Between the nightmare project and weekend landscape renovations I was running a few days behind but getting caught up.
