Quoted from Paseb:white water playfield NOS or Mirco?
if Mirco, how do you like them?
Mirco
They are fine if you correct the mistakes, reclear them and put proper protections in place.
If not then I wouldn’t trust them.

Quoted from Bud:Wish I had a HEP white water!
That would be to die for. Great looking game before hand. And the HEP touch sends it into orbit.
I hope you get one someday.

Same...just got done shopping my Airborne....
High_End_Pins Chris - where did you get those flipper buttons?

I was checking out the flipper buttons and pinblades!
Quoted from High_End_Pins:Once about years ago.
Cool, just have someone doing one for me. I'll search the thread.

You must be sick of doing these ES's cabs by now...
I remember when you detailed the cab work months/a year-ish ago and it seemed pretty involved.
You have done another 2 or 3 or 4 recently, and they all look great.
Matt.

They are tough no doubt . It’s been nice though because I am glad to avoid decals when I can.
I have one more after this one and three more IJs on the back to back builds.
Other than that trying to work in the oddballs while I have those two titles rotating.
I think I speak for most people in this thread when I say we love the oddballs! Mailbox, closet, dirt bike, woodrail, etc!

I miss the workouts with Curtis
I wish I could afford one of those dirt bikes. I had one just like the white one. Would love to have another one. I would definitely treat it better than I treated the one I had! I had so much fun with that thing growing up.

Me too. Hopefully he will get back to it. Being a new father has been a major lifestyle change for him.
He’s going to have a little bigger mountain to climb this time around but he’s young.
We have the tools and the know how he just has to rediscover the will power.

They are much cheaper than pinball.
I sold one for $5500 and that was probably a record I was told.

They look like the black chrome ones i have in Tron, Matt. I got them from Babak at pinball haus.

They are a combination of clear outer and black inners.
HEP woodrail hit the market....

Yup, would love to see more woodrails!

Not mine.
I have only done one so far. It wasn’t that one.

False advertising eh? Do you typically notify the seller when things like this come up?
Quoted from jaytrem:False advertising eh? Do you typically notify the seller when things like this come up?
Yeah or just say something in the ad.
I never really know if it’s malicious or deceptive so I try to be pleasant although there are a few sellers I know that do it intentionally.
Get's frustrating seeing these. I'm sure many are second owners or later after restoration who were told they were HEP. Bottom line is BEFORE you take anyone's word for it who is selling to you, I strongly suggest asking HEP. I would think you can't even trust seeing the brand on the playfield as I know HEP previously did playfields w/o doing full restorations (will have to confirm with him if he still branded these or not).

Yeah. The branding is everything. If it’s branded it’s legit.
If not it is either not or too old to be considered a current enough example.

I don't know if the seller follows this thread or not, but I've been PM'ing him and he seems like a stand-up guy who made an innocent error. He was told the playfield was a HEP when he purchased the pin, so that is what he was passing along. At this point he has changed his ad. However, I informed him on how/where to look for the HEP branding so that if the playfield does have it then he can legitimately advertise such.

I always just approach it as misinformed or mislead myself. Sometimes it’s truly malicious and deceptive but I think more often than not it’s innocent enough.
On one hand it’s flattering but on the other it’s problematic.

Just to put closure on the topic, he just confirmed it is an HSA playfield restoration and not HEP. It was an honest mistake on his part, and I just wanted to give him a chance to not be unduly roasted since Pinside can be a little rough on people at times.
HSA (Brian Weismann) did nice work when he was in business and saved me on a couple PFs when no one else was willing (able?) to help.
What a weekend.
I am going to feel like I am on vacation this week working on pinball stuff.
Still doing weekend renovations.
I am getting a divider fence and partial privacy in the back corner then down the whole side.
I want it put in nice and straight without excuses.
Started here last weekend.
Then I finally got my long awaited new shutters.
These are made of thick solid PVC material then milled and refinished.
They are supposed to be shutters for life. Will see about that.
These were easy. 2DE66974-6ECF-42B5-97B6-217D55750D94 (resized).jpeg
This one not so much.
I am not afraid of heights but I don’t like being on anything rickety.
Too complex and dangerous to hammerdrill mortar place and level everything perfectly on a ladder BCB8CB2B-5A24-4922-B211-BFBDA7F992BD (resized).jpeg
Rented this. Whatever that cost is way cheaper than a trip to the hospital. BACFF8B5-0051-4040-893C-D2FE2D098EEB (resized).jpegDA8883F7-8A8F-48EC-A340-288DD5053AEE (resized).jpeg
Made it easy after I figured out how to drive it. Started out like Austin Powers turning around in the tunnel.
Getting there still have a few more things to do. Bought the house new in 2000 first and last I hope.

Very timely. I'm working on a Sopranos teardown myself right now, so I'll be watching all your PF repopulation closely to see what pictures I forgot to take

Brian's work was incredible. I have 5 playfields in games I own that HSA restored for me. Does anyone reading this thread have any experience with the Las Vegas guy who bought Brian's techniques/methodologies?

This is the HEP thread.
Go start another about this.
Quoted from punkin:They look really nice on there.
But will they look good with the shooter rod?
