I’m here.
Everything is great
Been pushing my sled up and down the hill.
Yes it’s exhausting in this heat!

Painting trim
Drinking that beer and eating chicken wings.
They are spicy!!!!!
Quoted from edward472:Oh good. So the usual
Yes if you don’t hear from me on here it’s because I know you already know what I am doing

The chicken wings and beer look great too!
IJ MB cabinet is wired and built took a bit more effort because of the shaker motor components and I made my own Pinsound 2.1harness out of speaker wire.
I was then able to drop the playfield in and test fit the apron which should look good with the guard, screws and cards in place.
Like a lot of people I have a mental list of certain machines that I really like and would like to own someday. And for most other ones, they are ok but I’m sort of indifferent about them. I eat it up when this turns into another Fathom or Firepower or others I really like. When I see ones rolling in the queue here that I’m kind of so-so about, at first I’m like “eh”, this one is kind of boring. But I’ll follow along what the heck. Then as I watch it unfold, I’m like “hmm, that is looking kind of decent”. And every single time when it gets to the end when it’s all done I’m like “That thing is awesome, I WANT that machine more than anything!”

Are any of these guys doing LEDOCD or GIOCD?
Looks like yes, as you got stuff plugged into the right side of the backbox in the pictures.
But thats where i put my motion control board for the shaker.
Quoted from WolfManCat:Just heard about the earthquake. Hope you and family are ok. Lets us know.
We are good.
This morning I was sleeping in .My rule on Sunday is not to get out of bed before 8:30.
My wife gladly gave me a sleep divorce like 15 years ago so I am in my own world in my room at night.
I woke up and the bed was shaking.
I thought to myself “WTH is Maverick doing under the bed?”
Then I look and my bedroom door is shut. Can’t be that.
The next thing I think is this.
My calves have been twitching off and on for about a month. I have doubted it is anything serious but after that I am thinking “I must really have this Restless leg syndrome thing and I am thrashing my legs in my sleep.!“
Left it at that and obsessed about that instant self diagnosis halfway through breakfast before I somehow or another mentioned to my wife that I did something in my sleep that shook the bed.
She said “You felt that too?I thought it was just my imagination .”
We typed it in and sure enough there had been an earthquake.
Felt much better instantly

Check your potassium levels. Or just eat more bananas.
Quoted from High_End_Pins:I will give it a try. I did switch over to super high protein last month for a growth period.
[quoted image][quoted image]
Yeah, if you go low on potassium you get muscle twitches (or at least I have). Stress will also do it. More bananas, less stress should have you covered.
Peanut butter and banana sandwiches are addictive. Don't blend the PB and bananas mixture, spread it, then grill it like a grilled cheese, though. That's how Elvis exploded.

Peanut butter and bananas = YUM... On toast!!!
Maybe a little cinnamon and YES!
Another week begins.
I am probably about eighty percent done with my IJ run.
The IJ MB should wrap up tomorrow.
Just waiting on my wireforms for it. Its the captive ball one that really holds things up buildwise because it keeps you from being able to place the plastic ramp but I know they are on the way.
Shipping and receiving parts has been terrible lately.
USPS is completely off the rails taking up to almost ten days to deliver priority mail.
It’s unreal.
I had a priority package I needed last week sit in the Charlotte sort facility just 5 miles away for an extra three days before they could even transition it to the Matthews post office.
Quoted from PinMonk:Yeah, if you go low on potassium you get muscle twitches (or at least I have). Stress will also do it. More bananas, less stress should have you covered.

Inspired by the King :-)Peanut butter banana sandwiches are great very good pre workout or pre bedtime meal but you definitely have to make them with common sense because the wrong bread ,peanut butter or too much of either and it becomes a dessert.
I log all my nutrition throughout the day. I don’t include my beer or the occasional dessert because I mostly track for nutrients not calories but eat the same stuff pretty regularly so I have most saved in my meals.
Gives a good snapshot of what you are putting in and what you might lack.
I am going to tackle my ES project this week too I hope.
Right now the game is taking up two spots.
The old cabinet needs to be gutted. 11386257-ADE7-405B-BA01-6F1D8D7800F4 (resized).jpeg
The old playfield needs to be torn down.
It is resting in the new cabinet.
E63E99DD-B6F3-416A-9172-8D4B86FF18EF (resized).jpeg
It was essential that I test fit the entire assembly along with all topside parts in the new cabinet before going any further.
ES uses a very specific cabinet these original cut outs must be just right. It is all fixed into the cabinet and not adjustable. D46BF366-9039-413B-B0B4-F4BAD304CD2C (resized).jpeg
This provides the clearance for the fault to open. image (resized).jpg
And the wireform to clear when raised.

Everything is accurate and fits well enough to proceed.
Quoted from zr11990:So, I have a question about IJ. On the right slingshot there is a post in between the bottom and middle star post. What is it for and why is there always a crack in the ink there. What can you do about it?
That is there because of the swing gate.
The Lane is wider compared to the left. image (resized).jpg
Any of those wood screw in style Post are best used with a washer underneath to spread the footprint out a little.

We won’t have those concerns now.
GNR project.
This one is just a straightforward decal job.
I do not really offer this as a stand alone service but in this case I am just working with a really good customer through a local transaction where he found a nice GNR here locally and doesn’t want a HEP version but he doesn’t want a faded beat up cabinet either.
Fiberglass is needed for many of these repairs.
Some of that has to do with the build of the cabinet which is screws and seams.
The rest is damage.
That is addressed now so it can cure overnight.
Fiberglass is great for these type of repairs but it hardens slowly making it a nice final step of the day.
Working through the head and other side fiberglass work on the GNR.
After years of doing these I can confidently say that Data East has a much lower standard for its cabinets than Williams did at this time.
The grade of plywood is rougher, there is basically no finish work.
Understanding those things don’t attract more players it make sense but reworking one of these is definitely more work as a result.
I received my latest shipment from HRA so I can wrap up my IJ run. 16938D42-06F8-4B9E-A2C5-F35BFBD8B931 (resized).jpeg
The IJ MB has a plated idol. He wants a little detailing done instead of just plain gold. 4C8DA6CF-A30D-4C76-9693-85876DFAA523 (resized).jpeg
Was tedious but I did that. I went with brown on this because it gives some detail but will blend well with the ruins.
With my wireforms back I was able to build the captive ball ramp.
I found these balls listed as Earthshaker balls on Marco.
Come on !

Made a splitter for the Kornfreak planes.
Quoted from High_End_Pins:IJ MB is all set. Should get some finished pictures tomorrow.

Nice work Chris!
I am the "supplier" of the protectors for drop targets. My advice is to install mylar below the airball plastic. This area will see heavy traffic, and tons of "attenuated" balls.

GNR cabinet was a chore. Lots of fiberglass work.
Now primed and guidecoated.
GNR cabinet is sanded painted and cleared.
This one was a lot of work.
IJ MB playfield.
The Kornfreak planes were great. Very well packed and thoroughly explained.
IJ MB inside and trim details.
