Quoted from High_End_Pins:

Yeah. Trust me I have debated getting a new one for years but I finally trained this one and would hate to start all over.
What I figured out to do was just go over every statement(I only have three) and put the category each purchase or check should fall into before I hand it over to them.
Just takes me a couple of minutes once a month and has solved most issues.
If this place were bigger or more lucrative I would definitely demand better though.

I hear ya. Just bear in mind you are paying for a service and if you aren't getting service then ....

If you have questions and would like a second opinion just message me otherwise keep crankin' out the beautiful work.

I know you are tired of hearing how great your work is or how amazing your work is or how beautiful the games are when done.

I'll tell you yet again. I uncrated a High Speed when it was brand new. And that didn't hold a candle to your job on this High Speed.

Extremely well done Chris !

The High Speed looks incredible, BUT...in one pic it looks like you are missing the screws in the ramp at the flap.

I left those out intentionally for now.
Hopefully it will play well without them.
My concern with installing them is that they will stick up too far and impede the ball travel since the ramp isn’t countersunk for them.
My other worry is the ramp is super thin so the chances of cracking the floor of it when using them or trying to make a recess is pretty likely.
The ramp is well secured as is so it probably isn’t worth the risk.

I left those screws out as well with the same concerns. It has played just fine.

Awesome HS. That looks like more gloss that HEP usually does.

#7414 69 days ago

Chris, simply phenomenal work. Thanks for all the time and effort and creativity put into the pin.

#7415 69 days ago

Looks great Chris. Yay stoplight!

I guess you decided not to mount the original in the back corner after all?

Seems like a little extra love went into this one. Lots of nice touches.

I started to do a photo evaluation but it was just too much to document so I did a quick unrehearsed unedited video.

Cheers!

Quick Question.
What are these called? Where can you find them?
Thanks

Haha, You noticed that also LOL. I was surprised he valued it at $4000. It will take a lot of work to get it to the $6500 pinside value.

Maybe, but this one seems to be more trashed than most!
Nothing a new cabinet, decals, PF, translight, ramps, fasteners, wiring, reworked boards, plastics, tumbling, plating and lots of Chris’ talent can’t fix.

I've seen European reimports that had crappy shortcuts, bypasses, improvisations and hacks like this. But no one was passing those off as "restored." They all had excessive rust, too.

#7429 67 days ago

Seen this ad on pinside and claims to be a HEP pin, but the paint work on the cab looks like shit. I think it’s ballsy to claim a restoration by someone who didn’t do it.
Hope you get the ad corrected

Thanks I sent the seller a PM we will see where that goes.
Some people will claim that HEP is just a generic term. Mostly those fairly new to the hobby.
Funny thing about that is it was never used nor had any value in this hobby until I formed High End Pins and started using the abbreviation almost 20 years ago.

Cyclopes set up.
Took a while no keys for the door or head.

Starting off with a pretty nice example. Not sure how deep I will go with it beyond teardown, clearcoating etc.
The cabinet isn’t perfect but nice. Does have some scuffs, screw holes things like that. A wood blister in the knee area of the woman on one side her foot on the other. These are voids in the plywood.

Did the OP change the title, it says “HIGH-END CHROME BLACK KNIGHT...”, not “HEP...” or “High End Pin...”?
Nonetheless, I agree it’s a poorly worded and misleading title.

#7436 67 days ago

Only Cyclopes I've seen that doesn't have a path worn between the lower left pop bumper and the rubber ring to the left. The ball can get stuck there going back and forth and people usually leave it running like that.

Yes he changed the title at my request and seemed nice enough about it so we can’t ask for much better than that and move on until the next time

I assume a rare title like this does not have stencils for it?

If that were my machine I would paint away that unnecessary bikini, just to make my wife mad. Would go great right next to my Future Spa that she hates.
