Have a lot of ground to cover and mulch to move.

LOL, had daddy duty! Gee, I'd love to help but...
Have you given thought to curbing the edge in. So you have a nice distinctive line between grass and mulch? Would also help with mowing but creates a little more weed eating.
My small project right now
Each block is 82 pounds and all rock is brought down in buckets. Had to do myself, every one I called wanted 40 G's just to start!
Quoted from punkin:Wonder you ever got it done moving a handfull at a time in that tiny barrow.
We all get to see the pictures of the wheelbarrow and the big mound of mulch.
And we get to see the pretty pictures of the nicely finished landscaping project.
We don't get to see video of Chris using a leaf blower to push the mulch around the yard.

I go with cedar mulch... I enjoy the smell of freshly mulched cedar. It also has the added benefit of keeping the bugs away
Started sanding the woodrail cabinet for what I hope will be the final reapaints.
Pretty much all colors are effected one place or another so it will be just as tedious this time as the past repaints already done to it but it gets a little easier too since all my own colors are the background making the taping accuracy a little more forgiving.
This is just part of getting it truly straight and ultimately slick.
Finished the final Fathom. This one in chrome.

I never know when they are coming to pave the road so that is why I had to have the mulch dumped in the driveway instead of the street and I also have to squeeze the vehicles back in every night

I believe that. I had a guy do an estimate to bring in topsoil to level part of my backyard. Keep in mind this is a backhoe bringing in dirt and then levelling approximately 40 yards of dirt... $30,000. Actual cost of soil and rental of backhoe for 24 hours... $1500.

Yeah. We have a lot of water run off on our property so we have to keep everything ground level pitched and flowing just in case we get a gully washer.
I trench around the natural areas so the mulch stays.
This time last year we were building some additions to our other buildings so I didn’t get o put much effort into the spring yard prep.
Your project looks cool. I would rather do it myself anytime I can regardless of the money but at 40Gs I wouldn’t even think twice.
How long will it take you?
Quoted from PinRob:Chris do you play pinball for enjoyment? Do you have your own collection of pins?
Most of my life I did play for enjoyment.
Early in this I also kept a collection from about 2000 to 2010.
Doing something like this daily over time takes some of the magic away.
I can’t really play games for pleasure. I know what’s in the sausage all too well and it’s my job to make it.
Once that happens then the desire to collect also fades.
The one thing that has yet to be tainted or fade is the desire to build the nicest games I can.
That continues to be a drive for me in this hobby.
Quoted from High_End_Pins:How long will it take you?
I planned for 3yrs with weather. But we started in September so it is coming along well. Still have the second tier to do which will go the full length of yard, 60 feet. This will give me 10 ft out from house and roughly 60’ in length of flat yard. Doing the first run of block takes the longest as they have to be perfectly level!
Hoping to be done by next summer!!!
All so he can have a bigger back yard!

just make sure your installing your geogrid with your wall installation. If not the wall is going to push.
Chris,
It often looks like you fully tape and paint a cabinet after painting with stencils to "tighten up" and fix some of the break thru colors. Would it be possible to clear a cabinet and do this on top of the original artwork instead of stenciling? Assuming the cabinet was not beat to crap, that is.

Yes. I do that too.
Pretty much exactly what the Select a Card cabinet repaint consist of.
It took all day but I got the mulch done and cleaned up.
Power washed the driveway and things are back to normal.
Hopefully they will pave the road this coming week.

I wanted to keep it in the cabinet color family but I did shade it to make it have a reflective like appearance more like a real sign.
Then it was cleared in full gloss again .
This won’t be the final clear although I am considering going full gloss on this one because of the car aspect in the art.
We shall see on that.

I didn't put it together until I saw this that Steve's police chase this game was based on ended in Lodi. Golden State Pinball festival should at least acknowledge that in some way since it's held in Lodi.
ACTUALLY, there's the poster for next year's festival! High Speed Lodi arrest event starring Steve Ritchie. Sponsored by Porsche.
Man your resto's are top notch. You should consider doing it for a living.
Nice work again Chris. If I had the means I would send some games your way and not think twice.

That Cab would look unique and very automotive with reflective lettering for the white or even red details. Maybe on the next one, use your new Cameo and cut some from vinyl, I use mine to make novelty street signs and things.
I know your always looking for ways to customize your work, thought this would be a goon one for the automotive themes.

So what shipping method / carrier do you use for delivering all these machines?
Have you had any significant shipping damage that destroyed all your hard work?
Also, is there a particular brand of playfield rubber that you prefer?
That radical is beautiful. I have never seen one in person but that one is gorgeous and it looks like a fun game. I wish I could find one to buy.
Quoted from jasonp:Game looks good but that mulch is on point!
Mulch isn't done yet. Chris still has to mask the sidewalks and then add two layers of clear over it.
