Quoted from Syco54645:

what is up with the lock inserts on mm1?

My first thought was prototype, but the other MM prototypes I've seen have normal green lock inserts, and blue outlines around the castles in the shield area. This MM 1 has neither. But I wouldn't expect the guy "maintaining" it to replace inserts and bother to find correct decals.

How do you remove those pesky display panel nuts without destroying the plastic standoffs?

Tru dat. I have a remake and still want a nice original.

My friend has a HEP MM from several years back. Now I'm curious to see if it has the castle hair band fix. Might have to install one on my MMR. Brilliant trick.

You're a beast. It would be a full a time job for me just to document all this, much less do the work. Paying it forward with repair & restoration knowledge is the lifeblood of pinball collecting. From RGP, to Clay's guides, and now these amazingly detailed process threads. Kudos.

Quoted from High_End_Pins:

To remove the push clips I simply squeeze them

Thanks for showing this up close! No idea why I couldn't figure that out.

Didn't think I was going to like the black flipper buttons on MM2, but once I saw the whole package outside with black armor, wow. Such a clean look with that dark cabinet art.
