It's so annoying!

When I come to work on my AFM with the pinballs removed and the machine switched on, the machine always go through a ball-search around 10 times, once every minute. How can I prevent this?

There must be a trick, because it hasn't gone into a ball search on two occasions, but I don't know what I did different.

And yes, I do want power to the coils when I'm working on the machine.

Pease help.

Thanks

If you start a game, as far as I know, the only way to avoid ball search is to activate a switch or target every so often so the game doesn't think the ball is stuck somewhere. In test menu, I'm petty sure if you go to switch edge test, the coils are still live.

Put a ball in the shooter lane, maybe?..

Hi there,

Thanks for the feeback.

Just to clarify, I'm working on my machine and so have cleared the balls, taken them out, lifted the playfield and it still insists on looking for balls!

HELP!

Thanks.

Can I ask why you're working on your machine with the power on and the high power enabled,?

After clearing the balls, reset the game so that it is in attract mode.

Put it into test mode while working on it.

Just to clarify, I want to work on my machine in attract mode, with the playfield raised and the flashers working (for mod-testing purposes).

Nope, this doesn't work.

Quoted from DNO:

Put it into test mode while working on it.

Then it's not in attract mode....
