Morning Gents,

I'm trying to troubleshoot a little problem I have on a TZ, and was hoping someone could steer me in the right direction. As I'm not entirely what the game should do, it's a bit hard to figure out which bit has gone wrong.

When you start a game, and hit the left ramp to light the lock, and then hit the lock, what should it do?

Should it give you one ball from the trough or two? - if it's two, should one go to the auto-shooter?

Mine seems to give me two balls to the manual shooter, which clearly confuses the game as if you lose one, everything stops until the second is also lost.

Thanks

Richard

It should just put one ball in the shooter lane(manual)

Remove the apron and see what happens when just 2 balls are in the trough.
A switch may need to be adjusted.

Yeh I don't get a lot of time for fiddling nowadays!

Thanks gents, I shall poke about and see if i can find that switch that may need adjusting.

Technically both ramps need to be made to light lock.

When you shoot the lock when not lit- the ball should kickout from lock and come down right orbit.

When lock is lit- Depending how many balls are in the upper lock/kickout hole(behind clock) one ball should either come out of kickout. Or one ball should be kicked into shooter lane.

MUCH, MUCH easier test than taking off the apron -
Go into Test Menu, "Gumball Test". With the game normal, you should have only THREE trough switches lit up (1, 2, 3).
Use the buttons to 'Load 1 Gumball'.
After the ball is loaded, the trough switches should only have #1 and #2 lit.
Likely, your #3 is either stuck on, or the second ball is activating both.

Good Afternoon All: I am resurrecting this old thread as I have the same problem: When a ball is "Locked" and two balls remain in the trough, the machine will dispense two balls not just one. I have tried the suggestions in this thread without any indication of the problem. In the test modes all trough switches show one, two, or three balls when occupied as does the shooter switch. When the balls are removed, the switches indicate the correct number and placement of balls. The Eddy Sensor is also reporting correctly. This only happens when one ball in "Locked". Any suggestions? Thanks,
