Yes both springs are there,
But the part 3A-7365 keeps slipping off the gear and drop below it, therefore the wipers don't turn anymore and the the game, need to be resetted.
Maybe the parts is worn out ?
The spring tension seems to be fine, the armature spring is super solid.
when the part is properly on, the game and light are working at 100%.
#pinballAir when you order the mech, do you remember the ref?

Thank you guys for your help.

To reduce friction, Teflon gel lube on the wiping boards and the switch cam might help. Can you post a pic of the unit in it’s stuck position?

either that, the bar preventing backward rotation needs adjusting, or you are missing a washer between the coil and the unit frame.

here's a great topic:

Bingo baldtwit , I sure miss that washer .
Tried to put one it doesnt work because it's probably too thick but the ratchet doesn't fall underneath the cam.
So, I can see the point of the washer. I just need to find the good part.
Challenging since it seems very sensitive adjustment, to much it doesn't move enough, not enough, it will drop.
Maybe there is a part # ?
The coil is the right one though xs-28 1000.

the usual thing is someone put the washer under the screw head.

the one between the coil and the frame is supposed to be non-ferrous ... brass, copper, nylon would all work.

people have been known to use layers of tape, paper, plastic cut from a soda bottle, etc. until they find a washer.

To all, a huge thank you.
For your help and patience.
Today, is an historical day.
My son and I played for the first time to Space odyssey .
We did it!!!!! the whole game is now functional .
Just couple light bulb sockets to change and one rollover switch to bend a little in the bottom left shooter, at that point, I can say with a lot of satisfaction, "peanuts".
What a great feeling and satisfaction to give is purpose back to this beautiful piece of engineering .
Again, thank you so so much.
Hopefully I'll be able to enjoy it for many years.

It's now time for us to find an other project!!!
I think we got the virus, the pinball one

Hello, I am back.
I currently have an issue with the horse shoe .
Every time i go through it, the bonus get stuck and the score reel keep going.
Any idea what could be the problem?
Everything else is perfectly working and scoring.

Also if anybody have any problem with the mach unit
I find the perfect size washer
At ace hardware store, it's made of nylon.

does the score motor run? If not, the super advance relay will stay powered.

when you go over the button in the horseshoe lane, the super advance relay powers. A switch on that relay with yellow and O-G wires should close and turn on the score motor, then the score motor 5A switch will eventually pulse open to release the super advance relay.

you can move the super advance adjust jack from liberal to conservative. If that fixes it, then you have a problem with the score motor 5A switch.

The horseshoe rollover button switch adjustment is hard to get just right. If the switch doesn’t have enough upward push, the ball won’t roll off the button correctly.
