I actually use my label printer anytime I have to take stuff apart, print out the labels , stick them to the wire , I leave the labels on the wires for future work

Just make sure you take very clear pictures and lots of them, make sure you label all the wires , and it is helpful if you use a magnetic dish to hold all your screws, springs, nuts and bolts, all long as you dont end up with extra parts you should be good
