If this is the relay attached to the back right of the playfield, then yes this the cause of the GI outage (assuming everything else is good). My relay board was having issues, and my GI was going in and out (bad solder joint, I believe). I replaced it with GLM board.

In your case, I would not mess around. Who knows how bad the board is whacked. I would buy a new GLM board (they are $25), and a new molex connector. Hopefully you can borrow a buddies crimper.

I can take pictures of the wire pin-out if you would like......
