Hi goldenboy232
Look-up the area in Your schematics --- the wiring to R-Hold-Relay. I marked red in the snippet of Fast Draw the switches to look at: A Slam-Tilt-Switch (with an weight mounted on a switch-blade) on the Coin-Door - one in the Backbox (?) and one in the cabinet (?).
Here http://www.ipdb.org/showpic.pl?id=1893&picno=25929 in the picture in the lower left corner I see an weighted switch. Coin-Door: http://www.stevechannel.com/tiltmechanism.htm - the THIRD picture (attention: The fourth picture is NOT a typical Slam-Tilt-Switch as the switch in the fourth picture is normally-open). Backbox: Here http://www.ipdb.org/showpic.pl?id=1893&picno=25925 I do not see a slam switch in the backbox --- check Your schematics for "Lightbox Tilt-Switch".

Also to check is the "Self-Hold-Switch on the R-Relay": A short wire runs from one side of the coil on R-Relay to switch mounted on the R-Relay - THIS switch.

pinhead52 writes in post-3 about the Backbox-Slam-Tilt-Switch in his Big Indian.

Again Backbox - here http://www.ipdb.org/showpic.pl?id=2459&picno=46682&zoom=1 - upwards on the right - in the shadow we see the Lightbox Tilt Switch.

Want to try (?): Start a game - wait for the ball to come - then with a fist bang on the Coin-Door --- question: Do You get the Tilt ? Greetings Rolf

Hi goldenboy232, HowardR, +
I like the (general) 50% rule (50% of travel both blades are touching - travelling together and so the precious "Self-Cleaning" can happen. I wrote about and showed an JPG: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/1965-bowl-a-strike-crazy-at-startup#post-3231326 . Greetings Rolf

Hi Mark
HowardR shows a snippet of schematics in his post-13 --- he has "drawn red" everything in (an original wired) Quick Draw". See the "threebladed Make-and-Brake-Switch on AX-Relay AND the "Self-Hold-Switch*** on Q-Relay***" --- through here the Relay is actuated when we toggle-on the pin. ALSO, FAULTY - when the "Self-Hold-Switch*** on Q-Relay***" is faulty - is closed all the time: The pin does start a new game means the AX-Relay actuates - moves its M&B-Switch --- Q-Relay quits-pulling --- the pin does the resetting - does step on the player-unit to reach its Home-Position - AX-RESET-Coil actuates --- M&B-Switch on AX moves back - and through the faulty "Self-Hold-Switch*** on Q-Relay***": The Q-Relay pulls-in again.

"Self-Hold-Switch*** on Q-Relay***" - this Self-Hold-Switch is easy to be found: A short wire (of any color) runs from "solder-lug on the coil" to "Switch mounted on the Relay" - THIS is the "Self-Hold-Switch*** on Q-Relay***". Toggle-off the pin so the Q-Relay is not pulling --- IS THIS "Self-Hold-Switch*** on Q-Relay***" truely open ? Greetings Rolf
P.S.: Please read post-27

Hi Mark +
in post-26 I wrote wrong "through here the Relay is actuated when we toggle-on the pin". No, no, no --- when we toggle-on the pin: The Q-Relay is actuated through another "drawn red" line --- upwards through M&B-Switch on R-Relay. Greetings Rolf

Hi Mark
When we toggle-on an Quick Draw: The Q-Game-Over-Relay MUST immediately pull-in and stay pulling (until we start a new game).
When we toggle-on an Quick Draw: The U-First-Ball-Relay MUST immediately pull-in and stay pulling (until we start a new game). Greetings Rolf

Hi Mark
in post-30 You write +/- "start a game ... AX-Relay UN-Latches - the Q-Relay does NOT-YET faulty pull-in". This observation gives the information: My theory of "faulty Self-Hold-Switch on Q-Relay" is wrong means the Switch is good.

So we come again to the Switch on BX-Relay --- the schematics says "3A and 2B Switches on BX-Relay" --- THREE switches close when the BX-Relay actuates - TWO switches open when the BX-Relay actuates.
I had a look at all these switches (schematics) --- the THREE switches closing: Two are just for the lights so You can sneak-in a stripe of paper between contact-points - on the first switch closing, on the second switch closing, on the third switch closing --- stripes of paper into all tree switches closing making them always open --- also look for "drop of solder at the solder-lugs - a doghair crap of wire at the solder-lugs - one of the studs (solder-lug) BENT making faulty always connection ?" Greetings Rolf
