Hi all,
I have a Bally Heavy Hitter playfield (https://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=1149) that I am trying to restore and I am having problems. As seen in the pics the paint has cracked and the cracks are filled with black residue. I have tried all of the recommended cleaning procedures such as alcohol and magic eraser but nothing seems to work. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Scott

Personally I'd play it and enjoy it as is. That paint looks pretty good and some wear and cracking is expected for that era. There's a Vid thread on playfield restoration if you want to go that route.
