Recently picked up a Mousin and had to fix some things, but one last thing still plagues me. You shoot the 1-2-3 targets in the middle, they drop, hit the loop ramp a few times to light Kickback. After enough loop ramps the 1-2-3 targets rise up again. If you trigger kickback before you hit the loop ramp enough times to raise the 1-2-3 targets, the game works fine. However, if you light kickback AND raise the 1-2-3 targets, hitting the lower pop bumper will trigger kickback, essentially wasting it as the ball is in the pops.

All the pops seem to be wired correctly at quick glance, and again this only happens when kickback is lit AND the 1-2-3 targets are raised... if the 1-2-3 are down, this doesn't happen. Anyone have any ideas as to what's going on here? Thanks!

Go to switch test.
Check how sensitive the kickback switch is.
Hit the Playfield with hand a bit to see if it activates the switch.
Check and adjust if needed.

Out of curiosity, how would kickback switch sensitivity be a factor when it's only the lower pop bumper that triggers it, and it only does it when kickback is qualified and the 1-2-3 bank must be in the raised position?

FWIW, the kickback also works properly if lit and then the ball naturally goes down the left outlane. But if lit and 1-2-3 target bank is raised, then only the lower pop (no other pops or coils firing, like the slings or flippers) triggers kickback... besides the left outlane of course.

Check the switch matrix see if they are in the same row.
Then could be a diode issue.

Did you ever figure this issue out? Oddly enough, the lower pop bumper also triggers my kickback. This is a very recent issue and didn't happen before I tried to make a repair to the diverter. Oddly, it also triggers the drain audio where the mice laugh...Anyway, if you did fix it, what was it?

For anyone trying to fix this, maybe my post on this other thread will help you. https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/kickback-switch-error#post-6652520
