    Hi Guys:

Around 40 years ago, when I lived in England, I was a bingo fanatic and saw a bingo at the London amusement machine distributor, that I would like help identifying.

All I remember was that it was made by one of the Italian pinball manufacturers that were around at that time and I remember that the 25 numbers in the backbox were not lit by bulbs but were made up of the 7 segment led's that were used in regular pinball machines at that time. The segments were lit all the time and changed color, once a ball was in that number playfield hole.

Also, when a new game was started, the machine did not have the lower moving board to let the balls drop but, instead, had small 'jaws' at each hole that would push the balls out onto the playfield, which would then all roll to the bottom of the playfield, ready for the next game.

I'm not sure if they were ever exported to the States but do any of you older Bingo guys remember such a machine?

I did check the Internet Pinball Database but couldn't find anything like it.

    Thanks.

It's hard to imagine that an Italian manufacturer would produce a bingo machine, unless it was strictly for export. The laws prohibiting winning anything on even a flipper game were very strict. Bingos are pure gambling devices.

It was definitely an Italian manufacturer and, as you say, probably for export only, hence me seeing it in England.
