Having a strange issue with this game. In order to advance through the worlds you hit the drop targets. When I get to world 4 I will hit the drop target on the left side it will go down but the game won’t register it as a hit and the light stays lit. Basically you stuck and can’t advance. New to pinball in general and also wanted to know what controls this type of stuff. Is it the driver board or the control board that keeps track?

There is a switch under the playfield that registers the target is down. Each target has its own switch. If this switch is not working or a wire is broken off then the game won’t know the target is down. There are lots of things that could be wrong but the driver board is not one of them. Start with the simple stuff. Take the glass off and raise the playfield (with power off) and visually inspect the switch and wiring. If that all looks good then lower the playfield, power up and go into the diagnostics and bring up the switch test. Manually raise and lower the target and see if it registers.

Thanks for your reply in test mode they are all working. In the earlier levels that drop target is working but for some reason when I get to level 4 I hit the target it drops down but the light stays on and I can’t advance. Weird

That’s a really odd issue! I wonder if there is an owners club. That’s a rare game, only 519 made!

I had a target on the right that would register intermittently and it just needed the switch contacts cleaned. It would do the same thing as yours, the target would go down but not register and the light would stay on. If you haven't cleaned the switches yet I would drag a crisp dollar bill or business card through the switch contacts to clean them. Which target is it?

There are some good pictures of the drop target assemblies in the gallery if you need a reference for what something should look like.

Here's the switch matrix schematic in case you don't have the manual.

Thank you all for the replies, I took some deoxit and a card and cleaned the contacts on the switch. They where dirty like mentioned above. Seems to be back to working. Thanks again for the help.
