Picked up a working Fish Tales the other day and was in the process of checking things out. I actually played the game both at the sellers residence and here in the warehouse. Came in the next day and before turning the unit on I replaced the batteries. Visually inspected for any leakage and saw none. Game was gone through 6 years ago by Pinballs Unlimited so I wasn't expecting corroded boards and visually there were none. The game worked fine. However after replacing batteries the unit will not boot up. J19 stays on constantly as does J21 but J20 does nothing. Sound board beep check tones and the dot matrix blinks a few times then goes dark. No playfield lights or activity. All fuses tone, voltage checks out HDR7. I checked seating on all the chips, pulled and replaced all pin connectors and generally check that all connections were seated well. I am still learning my way through these machine and a bit of time saving direction and instruction would be appreciated. I apologize in advance if I am a bit fuzzy on the proper terminology and might ask you to clarify. Thanks!

Fixed!!! Removed all ribbon cables and reseated, checked that power supply wasn't dropping voltage anymore and walla, she works fine! A good cleaning and waxing, some new balls, replace a couple of broken plastics and while the playfields is removed, a bit of cabinet touch ups, new decals, legs and glass and she will be like new!! Thanks gents, I am appreciative and will be here to pay it forward. Cheers!
