I'm learning my way around DE pins. This JP is frustrating me, so someone push me in the right direction. When I got it this pin it wasn't running. I repaired the MPU and got it up and running (bench tested & tested in another DE title). The Xpin PS stopped working (damn surface mount components) and I replaced it with a Rottendog, Pin now up and running with a few issues. The game starts up and tries to eject a ball into the shooter lane but the solenoid doesn't have enough strength to get it out. Most of the PF solenoids don't work either. The PPB is a replacement rottendog that worked before the Xpin PS went tits up. The flipper board had a bunch of bad fuse clips, so I replaced all of them. During a game, when you press the flipper buttons the leds on the flipper board flashes. It acts as if there isn't enough power to make the solenoids fire. Someone point me in a new direction.

can you get the audits to open up? if so pull it up and work through the problems....there will be lots of them probably, grab your meter and make sure you have all the correct voltages where there supposed to be as well.

do all of the solenoids exhibit that symptom? Or, is it just the flippers? Do the solenoids work in test mode?

Here is a newbie DE question. The header pins at the top right of the cpu. Spec coil switch input CN-18 doesn't have a corresponding female plug.. There is a plug that is keyed to fit 7-segment drive CN-3. Is this correct arrangement?

A little research into DE pins and I find that the coils all have power but the ground is closed upon starting a game. When I start a game and check the coil voltage with the MM connected to cabinet ground I see the voltage at the coils. Where on the DE CPU does the logic close the ground?
