I can't get this to register during game play. I put a new reed switch in there, and when that didn't work put one from another part of the playfield and that didn't work. When in test mode the area is so small where it picks up the ball, and even then it doesn't always register, and when you shoot the loop the ball almost always misses that tiny area. Is there a way to make it more sensitive or maybe something else is the problem. I'm using the CCC software so can't make on screen adjustments based on the old software. Please any suggestions are appreciated. Oh yes, this is for the switch at the very top of the playfield.

Just a thought.

This reed switch is part of your switch matrix. You could have a broken wire at another switch killing that switch.

Whip out the old manual and check switches on the same row and column the reed switch is on.

we thought it might be the wire, so we did a complete bypass, put a new wire on and hooked that up and at first it was better and thought that was it, but then it reverted back to its old ways.

and when you put the pinball right by it under the playfield it works everytime.

Is the reed switch you are talking about under the bad guy assembly. If it is you might have it in the wrong way. This switch should be placed with the wires under the assembly.

This seems to have solved most of the problem, thanks very much for the tip, it works about 90% of the time now, much better than before and now.
