Have schematic but many labels missing under play field and inside cabinet. A few questions:
-Would someone know what the small stepper under the pf and next to the pitching motor does.
-Would someone have a picture of the cabinet relay identification labels.
-When a target is hit (single for instance), which relay is activated? Is there a specific relay for each target?
    Thanks

Use your schematic to track down the missing relays by: coil #, contacts, wire colors.

Currieddog, tried doing that but faded wire colors are a problem. Also, the Williams schematic is very different from the Gottlieb schematics that I am familiar with. First time trying to read a Williams.

What do the numbers under the coils mean? For example, Hit has M 29 1100, Curve has Z 27 1000.
    Thanks

These are just identifiers for the specific type of coil used in each relay which specify the shape, size, wire gauge, number of turns, etc.. Some manufacturers' identifiers were more explicit than others. For example the M 29 1100 has 1100 turns of 29 gauge wire I believe, while something like a Gottlieb A-9735 is more obscure about its specifics.

It depends on the rules of your game. Your schematic has a table of relays in the lower left similar to this one that identifies all of the relay coils. This one has a different relay for each single, double and triple target but your mileage may vary.

If you have the game manual in addition to the schematic there is very explicit information in there about all of the steppers and relays like this (from another game):

If you're comfortable working on a live game, you could also lift the playfied, start a game and trigger each of the targets to see which relay(s) fire.

I was able to locate the target scoring problems. Once a target is hit, a relay trips on the relay bank that controls the target light, and also redirects the circuit to control scoring, bell, and runner animation. The labels on the relay bank are confusing since they only indicate that they are the target light relays. In the tripped switch position the lower switch contacts for three of the targets were not making contact. Once adjusted everything worked correctly.

One final question. There is a small continuous stepper under the playfield with a label on it indicating it is the Mix Unit. Would someone know what this unit does. Is it possible it controls the magnet that deflects the pitched ball for curves? Difficult to trace it based on wire colors.
    Thanks

Williams schematics and manuals are the best in the industry. What do they tell you?
