My Slugfest suddenly started registering a single, double, triple or home run on a swing and a miss without hitting a target

I cannot figure out why this is happening

Everything else seems to be working fine

Is this a board issue or a relay issue ?

I tried resetting to factory defaults with no change

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

I'd start there. Target(s) stuck closed ? Wiring for them shorted ?

Checked sll the target switches snd they are cleaned and working correctly

I get a single, double ,triple or home run whenever I swing the bat

Not sure what switch would cause this

You need to go into solenoid test mode and test the bat and see if the vibrations are causing spurious switch closures. It's one thing for them to "idle" or sit correctly when nothing is going on, but they also need to be adjusted such that vibrations from the bat and pitch mechs aren't causing issues.

You can either do this with a meter on the switch edges and listen for tones, or you can go into switch test and manually actuate the bat coil with a decent bit of force and see if the vibrations cause switch closures.

Fun game! Hope you get it back to solid working order soon!

Did you go into the diagnostic switch test under settings?

When you do that, try shaking the game and see if any switches (other than tilt switches) get triggered.

Problem solved
It Was not a switch problem
There was a short on the CPU board under the batteries
The batteries had been removed and replaced with a chip , but prior to that there must have been some leakage
Replacing the pins and rewriting the corresponding plug took care of the problem
