The charity lists itself as a 501(c)3. The entry fee should be tax deductible too.

It was worth the $50 to me for the chance and to support a good cause. If you have never been to a Children's Hospital, they are the saddest and most hopeful, amazing places all at the same time.
I had never thought about it but my next restoration project might end up a donation to the hospital here in Seattle.
They are raising $10k per raffle. $30k total to BUY machines to put in children's hospitals for the sick kids to play. The more that they spend on the ones they give as prizes, the less they have for the ones for the kids.
I would guess that Stern is donating the prizes but still, it is a $50 chance that puts pins in the hands of sick kids.
We all think that there are only 3 drawings. There are three drawing dates but I do not see it limited to 3 drawings. Each one is limited to 200 tickets but if we can sell 1000 tickets there should be 5 drawings. More chances for us and more pins for the kids.
Quoted from bemmett:It's too bad they want to remain anonymous, they should be known for a generous offering like that!
They probably had a waiting list but thought that this was a better cause.
All full drawings, with the possible exception of the LE drawing, will be done on the first drawing date. Any that fill after that date but before the second date will be drawn on the second date. All filled after the second date will be drawn on the 3rd date.
I am not sure what happens with any chances that are purchased for a drawing that has not been filled by the 3rd date.
Quoted from rai:I am trying to decide if I should pick one chance TWD LE or enter another 1-2 chances on the pro?
Why not do both?
Quoted from John_I:Personally I would love to see a machine go into a hospital near me in Central Florida. I would volunteer in a heartbeat to stop by on a regular schedule to make sure it is running correctly and kept clean.
I have traded a couple of e-mails with him about getting something going here in the Seattle area. I am very interested in helping and I know that a number of the other collectors in the area are as well.
My math skills may be lacking but the way I figure it:
1 ticket in each of the 5 drawings = 5 chances at .5% each.
I do not have enough information about how many people have purchased tickets in any of the individual drawings to be able to figure my odds based on number of people.
Quoted from Baiter:It is fixed at 200 tickets per drawing.
Correct. If each person bought 1 ticket it would be 200 people. I do not know if people bought more than one. I can't do the math to calculate based on number of people entered in each drawing.
