I'm no expert on this, but I believe the charity will be required to report the winner to the IRS as well. Just in case you "forget".

Damn it, I imagine you're right, but that's just not right!

I don't see why a donation should be different just because it's associated with a raffle, especially when the winner has to pay taxes on the full value of the prize.

Oh well, I guess I better stop there before I go on a political rant.

I just hope a Pinsider is the winner.

I think it would be interesting to just do a drawing immediately after every 200 tickets and see how many games that would buy for the kids.

Damn, I went from having a pinball addiction, to now I also have a pinball gambling addiction.

The Limited Edition- AMC’s The Walking Dead Pinball Machine Winner will be announced here on Friday 10, 2014 at 9:00 pm edt. The Winner’s entry will be selected by blind drawing by the Mayor Ben Nelson of Bonita Springs, Florida. http://www.cityofbonitasprings.org/government/city-council/mayor/
A single Winner’s name will be pulled from a box of all 200 entries. This ticket selected will be named the Winner of Stern’s Limited Edition- AMC’s The Walking Dead Sweepstakes.

The Winner will be notified by email and given details and instructions to receive their pinball machine.

I had that happen to me too, but I went back and looked and the original payment and confirmation went through okay. I think it's just a glitch in the cart system.

It was done live at PapaTV's broadcast booth, but no crowd around. I guess I was expecting a more exciting reveal for this. I support their efforts and appreciate PapaTV for airing it.

Okay, since my favorite local casino got closed down I may as well put some of those losing funds to a win-win for the kids.
