Hey guys, so I have finally finished re-populating my playfield after a complete PF restore, and went to test the game out before tidying up the back box and installing the glass. upon start up I get a message that says "Open Coin Door". I know that this typically occurs when the batteries are bad and the settings are no longer in memory. I check and make sure the batteries in the holder are new (there's not a bit of corrosion anywhere in the area), restart the game and still the same problem.
2nd issue: During the initial test run, I noticed that I had a couple of coils not firing (VUK, Super VUK). After testing all the coil transistors on the power board (all tested good) I go into the coil test and they all test fire just fine. I go into the switch test and find that three (3) switches are not registering:
1. #47 - Left Orbit to VUK
2. #46 - VUK
3. #45 - Super VUK
I check the diodes on the switches and they test fine. I unplugged the cable connector at F7 and check for continuity between pin #5 and Switch #45 and have none, continuity seems to stop at the Diode on Terminal Strip. Little gremlins that are driving me crazy. In my restoration efforts, I replaced several switches (leaf and roll over) and coils so I'm starting to 2nd guess my work. I go back to the kuhchillion pictures I took before disassembly and so far everything looks fine. Just these three switches and the coin door issues left to figure out. I would love to hear any thoughts or opinions as I work these problems. Thanks in advance.
