Hi all! Can someone PLEASE tell me how to get the metal piece into the bottom of the new drop target? i have attached the spring, but now see the metal arm cannot enter the slot. I put the new target in from the playfield side, as its seems only way to do it, am I wrong? Tricky.

THANK YOU!

There is a slot on your drop target that metal piece has to slip into so you can put the fat pin and clip through the hole.

Most likely you need to left up the drop target and push that metal arm up and get it into the slot on the drop target and lower both together.

Probably easier dais than done. You may have to take the plate with the switches off, or lower the whole drop target assembly, to get things so you can line them up and together.

Here you go. This is part 2. Check out his part 1 and part 3 if you need it.

I've only done this with the mech disassembled. You may need to separate the other targets from the pivot rod to get enough play to make that connection.

You might also be able to remove the e clip off one side of the pivot rod and slide it out past the pivot arm to free it up.

GOT IT, yes freeing the rod with the steel mechs that fit into the bottom of the drop targets was indeed the key, a matter of taking off the reset bar held on by an E clip and then loosening the 2 allen screws, and BANG. below you can see before and after freeing the bar.

Thank you all very much for your help, I got some video and may edit it and upload for other owners. I started to replace all 5, 3 original, but honestly? I DO NOT want to have to hook 4 more springs up If they break I know what to do

That assembly comes off the playfield pretty easily. There's a molex connector on the wires and it's just 4 screws into the playfield. It's MUCH easier to work on out of the game. Like exponentially easier.
