This piece is from the left outlane on Bally EM Fireball. Some previous person added a nail and mangled the crap out of this one.

Is there anyone that can help make a new piece for me? I'm great with wood and plastic, but not metal.

See photos. Thanks!

I had a nice offer from Captainhook to try it in acrylic, but that isn't the best material.

This is why forums rule, people helping people!

Anyone else have the ability to do this in aluminum better than my hacky metal skills?

Dimensions are .75 wide by 8.5 long. The material thickness is .025

Thanks

You can buy a piece of .025 stainless, and simply cut to size. Then make your bend.

Yep - this is pretty straight forward, I’d follow this. You can cut decently with a $12 angle grinder and cutting wheel - better if you have a small vice to grip it. Drill a couple holes and your good to go. This stuff bends super easy

I have a Dremel, angle grinder and die grinder. I can cut the material, but making it straight and a nice cut is my concern.

Any suggestions?

Try laser cutting service.

onlinemetals.com will make you the exact cut you want for pretty cheap.

I've always had great help from a local metal fabricator shop when I needed a metal form made or repaired. A quick search on Google Maps showed several around Lancaster, PA. Give them a call?

PM sent as well.

I work in a location that has a full woodshop and paintshop. Nothing much for metal. I have used local shops around for larger (non-pinball) work before. I'm waiting to hear back on a few things and djblouw also offered. I should be good once I see what all comes together.

Thanks everyone!

I have taken advantage of local sheet metal fabricators or other local metal shops. They let me look through their scrapes and will cut for me if I can't.

Your local HVAC (plumber guy) usually will sheer it for you rather than cut it minimizing scratches and drift....You may want to tip him really good however, they buy a lot of band-aids (wink).

Here you go Dave. It's not perfect but pretty close.
