Long story short the main Christmas gift for my wife showed up today and it was not as advertised. Jewelry that looks nothing like the images online. So, I am scrambling to try to do a few things last second that she wants.

She has a Phantom of the Opera that I am trying to trick out how she wants it. The last owner put cool white LEDs in the GI which looks like garbage. I don’t have access to the machine at the moment but I really want to order warm white LEDs for the GI and a few flicker flame bulbs in the candelabra inserts and maybe by the organ?

Since I don’t have access to the machine, could someone tell me what type of LEDs to order for the GI? Like Bayonet or 44 or what? Also any idea what type for the candelabra inserts? Any brand better than another for Data East Phantom of the Opera? Any warm whites I should buy that will look best?

I’d like to be able to like print the order page to wrap real quick in the morning and promise to install them as soon as they arrive. Obviously I’m doing more than this, but she really wants the lighting fixed on this game so she will be super excited by this. Thank you for any help!!!

I wish you the best, but if I replaced LEDs for jewelry my wife would be like WTF, get out of here.

Edit: Did you try the owner's thread? Comet usually has the kits lists from crowd source and someone must have the manual.

Explain the situation and tell her you'll get her a better gift later. Don't do anything pinball, that's more of your thing.

Funny you would say that. The Phantom is her pinball machine. She’s the one who whenever we can get my mom to watch our daughter always insists on going to the Pinball Lounge for date night. It’s definitely not more my thing!

We already decided that our Mando pin was technically our Christmas gift to each other even though we sold another pin to get it but I was trying to at least have a package she could open. Last year I got her a ton of pinball stuff but it was all stuff she really wanted. She’s dying for me to redo the LEDs in her Phantom so I just told her I was going to and she was thrilled. I also ordered her art blades and she couldn’t be happier. She already has a lot of nice jewelry but she’s wanted a tricked out Phantom machine for over a decade. Have the machine just have to trick it out!

I’m lucky I guess! My wife has some nice jewelry but what she really wants is her Phantom tricked out. Well, what she reeeeaaaally wants is an Elvira House of Horrors, but we can’t afford that!

Thanks for the tip, I am going to order from comet. They impressed the hell out of me with their purple passion bulb and overall service.
