I have a 1960 Williams Official Baseball game whose pitching unit is malfunctioning. The unit cycles a ball up to the pitcher, but the pitcher does not stay in the locked back position to receive the ball. He simply moves forward and the ball drops to the playing field. Any help would be appreciated. Also is their a repair manual for this game, if not, how does one go about learning how to fix this game? Thank you for the help.

Also, the pitching unit runs continually without stopping. Thank you!

The switches that open and close as the wheel rotates are the key to starting and stopping the unit. I believe there are stickers on the unit under the playfield that tell you what is NO (normally open) and closed and the function controlled. If not you can figure it out watching the switches. They probably need to be cleaned and adjusted to work properly.
