I have a really nice Monday night football and everything is playing great but the stop bracket that pulls in and locks the ramp ( I guess that’s what it is ) for the ramp is broke , so the ramp won’t stay raised . Where do I get a replacement at and what is it called . Any help would be great !

No idea on the name but have you checked the game manual? They usually have all assemblies and their parts described. Ipdb.org have many manuals in digital pdf form.

You can see it on the 5th photo.

The parts diagram here, https://www.marcospecialties.com/pinball-parts/535-5134-00 , it awful and I can't really see anything that could be what you are looking for.

Where is the spring? There should be a spring to hold the white plastic tang into the motor armature. The arm you are holding in your pliers defeats the spring held lock when the motor is powered up. You can see it in the pictures on Marco.

I removed the spring to see what was going on . It broke right on the 90 degree tab that goes into the plastic piece .

I might sadly have to come up with my own fix

Rowe coin changers use a similar mechanism on their hopper motors. I wonder if parts off of this motor on eBay will work for you?

Make sure that the game is turned off before poking around with pliers. You could do a lot of damage if you short something out.

Current manufacturer of the motor should be Merkle-Korff Industries. Here is a patent showing how the brake system functions: https://patents.google.com/patent/US5444317A/en

Yea game was unplugged , I’m careful when working on these games . Made some stupid mistakes in the past and learned my lesson .

There's a diagram with part numbers on page 31 of the manual. That part may be part of an assembly on that page, but getting the correct part number is the first place to start. I've gotten rare parts from all over the world, but not without a part number.

The motor assembly part number 515-5222-00 was the “complete” part that would have the parts needed. I doubt Data East broke down the motor assembly into its parts as they probably bought it as a complete motor unit with gearbox attached from Barber Coleman or it’s successors.

Yea I’ve looked at the parts list and it’s not listed separately unfortunately . I would buy a whole new one if it was available but everything for this mech is out of stock

I believe I have some of those from Rowe changer motors. I could send to you and see if it works. He couple days before I can check.

First I want to say a big thank you to all who participated in helping me out . I was sitting here today and came up with a way to fix my issue . I just needed the small tab that went into the small plastic piece pictured above . I ended up using a strong staple from a pinball box and cutting it down to size then I added some gorilla glue and some right shrink tube . Heated the tube and let the glue set and it now works like a champ!
