Help! Need pics/advice on late model Bally match unit

Hi Tom... Match Unit shouldn't be a part of the startup circuit... however in some games there are other game features that get enabled/disabled based on the match fingers on that unit. I'm not familiar with that game so can't say for sure. Steve Young at Pinball Resource in NY would have that schematic.

Looking at your pic... you may only be missing the nut that holds the half of the unit that's dangling, to the other half of the unit directly below the knocker coil at the top of your picture.
