We'll be picking up this little guy on Friday! Don't have great pics yet but help us choose a name. Currently, we are down to Bowser, Atlas, Watson, or Stark. He's got medium to low energy level, very lovey, just wants tons of pets and kisses! We are adopting a second puppy named Juniper, which we'll keep as Juniper. Currently, we have an older pittie named Pepper, after Pepper Pots, which is why Stark is in the running, but obviously don't have to have anything related.

I am partial to Atlas or Bowser...it's a tossup between the 2 for me but if I had to choose, I'd go with Atlas. My wife and kids are undecided.

Well, I certainly can't trust the greater internet to come up with a good name, but I figured Pinside might be able to at least help choose

    #6 2 years ago

If you have EM's in your collection the name is obvious; Sparky!
That was the name of my first dog, a beagle that I miss dearly.

    #7 2 years ago

Lurch would get my vote, but that isn't one of your choices.

I have 1 EM in my collection. Sparky would remind me of MET too much though. And from what we've seen of his normal behavior, he seems to be rather chill

    #9 2 years ago

I would say name him here boy or sit

    #10 2 years ago

Atlas is a good name, although he looks like a natural for Watson. Either way he is headed to a loving home! Congrats and enjoy.

You could be one of those people who name their dog a different animal, like Turtle!

He looks like a Hercules to me with that stance!

    "Whose a good boy"

When I eventually adopt a dog, I want to name it Dog, but pronounce it dee-oh-gee

Then it's got to be Notorious D.O.G.

But then you have to have something for D.O.G.

We asked our kids what name they would like our puppy to have. My youngest said George Washington.

I prefer dogs to have real names. Therefore I think you should name him Jimmy, after me. Hehe.

I always find it's better to spend an afternoon with a pet and pick a name that suits their personality. For example, Shooter would be a good name for a dog that runs around a lot. Bumper for a dog that jumps around, etc.

    #36 2 years ago

Have you thought about naming him "Stains"? (slightly, maybe NSFW lyrics)

    #37 2 years ago

Had a neighbor in the 80s who named his dog humper, great name.

The other dog is named Juniper? Go with a tree theme and name him Cypress. Lol no one could say it wasn't unique.

I had a friend once who had a Rottweiler named shithead. That name fit him to a tee. Dog was a pain in the ass.
