I played STTNG a few times at a local gas station years ago that had one set up in it's mini arcade. Just could not get into this game!
I picked one up cheap in a multi pin deal. This game was a turd that needed a complete restoration. Knowing it was a highly desirable game, I decided to go all out in the restoration. I cleaned and polished every part, new cabinet decals, clear coated the playfield, pinball bulb led's, color dmd, shaker motor, laser light mod and a complete ramp set too.
All this and I was still ready to get rid of STTNG. It's a very difficult game to get dialed in. In my case, I couldn't get those f--king gun turrets to work correctly. After fixing a cracked solder joint on the left cannon opto, I finally had this game 100 percent complete.
It's now a game I don't think I could ever part with. Top 5 in my collection for sure. I rank it right up there with IJ and MM. It's funny how my perception of a game has changed so much from the first few times I played it.
Good luck in whatever you decide to do!
