So ive been trying to get this diverter off bsd for over an hour and this little pin is driving me nuts. It doesnt seem to allen off, it wont push through, how is it removed? Before i saw it off in anger, i'd appreciate any help or ideas.

That's a press-fit roll pin.
Take a set of pliers...try squeezing the pliers against one end of the pin and the shaft...get as much of the pin to stick out of one side as you can.
Once that's accomplished, take a pair of vise-grips to the pin...and pull it out.
You'll probably need a replacement when re-installing.
Indy is correct, it's a roll pin.
VERY hard to remove with pliers as it is super hard steel and is basically a very strong spring that wedges itself in the hole.
You can get sets of "pin punches" that have a flat face and parallel sides. This is the right tool for removing roll pins.
Google "roll pin" and you should get some additional tips.
