Guardians of the Galaxy is pretty good, and definitely an accessible theme (you can probably find it used for $5000 if you're willing to wait and watch). Spiderman can usually be had at that price, probably a better game than GOTG and friendlier (longer playing). Simpsons Pinball Party is also in that range, but not sure the theme is meaningful to kids these days.
