My TMNT DMD (a bit of a horror story for a first pinball) when I first bought it would become "jarbled" looking like an digital audio wave form. After quite a bit of searching I found that the connectors at CN9 were, well, not making as good of contact as they should have. Someone in all there wisdom replaced the molex connector with of all things a flat 4 pin vehicle trailer plug. This crappy contact was hightened by a few burnt pins in CN8. CN9 connects to CN8 and is the GI circuit through the PS. My GI would come on but like what I seen in the video of the back box not all of the GI was on. By replacing the Molex connector and header/connector I have not had a problem with the DMD since. All that being said my display never shut down completely.
