Trying to fix an issue with the sling switches on my FG. They were in bad shape and had been rewired before by someone that liked bare wire. So I put in new switches and now they all work except for the secondary one on the right side of the playfield.

Can someone tell me or show me a picture of how that side should be wired on that switch.

the side tab has the diode attached and the wire that goes to the second switch. I think that this one and the one on the other end of the diode coming from the harness are reversed

Thanks

They were probably wired with bare wire from the factory.

Post a CLEAR WELL LIT PICTURE, and we can see what happened.

Are the 2 switches wired in parallel to each other?

here is the picture, gut feeling is the wires on the diode are flipped. The old wire was 18 guage lamp cord that was twisted on and not sodiered.

on a side note the right flipper has stopped working, when I hold the flipper button and push up on the flipper it holds so if my voltage is correct i assume part of my coil is dead. just from reading if i understand correctly the coil has 2 parts one to pull back and one to hold in place? depending on what part is energized.

Vid is correct. The bare jumper wires between the sling switches are factory.

You've got your red wire on the lower switch in the wrong tab.
