Your picture shows the diverter in the up position. Does it go down every time when the ball goes up the left ramp?

#3 8 years ago

Is always down, ive put it up by hand, but normally is always down, dont go up... Starts and keeps always down, only gets up if i put it by hand, stays like until i archive the first castle lock, then goes down and remains like that...

Did you remember the spring that goes on it, or is the coil itself pulling it down?

#5 8 years ago

Spring? you catch me on that one... Spring?

#6 8 years ago

It should be up on default and pulled down by the coil for a few seconds (when ball enters ramp, opto triggers diverter in specific mode).
Supsect there is indeed a spring that should hold up the post.

The problem is that the diverter is always down...any tests that i can make? thanks for the help so far

Check the spring nr 10:
Up down post assemblyUp down post assembly

And check how the post is hold by the assembly, it should be fixed to be moved only by the coil.

So what you are telling me is that the diverter should be always up, there is no mecanism that is pulling that thing up, so could be mounted incorrectly?! Is that!?

#10 8 years ago

Yes, when the coil actuates, the diverter will come down.

#11 8 years ago

Down is activated, up is normal resting position.

#12 8 years ago

Im going to check that, and i will give you some news, thanks in advance.

Ok is fixed, you guys are great, some rubber was on the way and stopping the diverter to go up..
Now i have another issue, the skill shot dont work, the ball hits it, but nothing happens... Any ideas?

Best regards

Check to see if your ball lane roll-over switches are working in switch test mode.

To check the skill shot?

Check the switch at the bottom of the drop target assembly. The drop target has a tab that pushes down the metal actuator of the switch.

my bad....

It's been a while since I last played my BSD

#18 8 years ago

My drop target micro switch had a quick connect that was not staying in place. It would work for a while and then shift. Had to crimp it a bit tighter and fine so far. If the switch is not registering during test it will not work for your skill shot.

Thanks again, im going to check that switch in test mode, and give you the results.
