I just got a Family Guy (Which I love) and the DMD is acting weird. It has dots appear randomly in the same area and sometimes its like 4 or 5 dots and then maybe 1 or 2. I tried different DMD and changed with a brand new ribbon cabe. Still not difference. I am thinking something with the power but don't know where and how to start. Any advice would be much appreciated!

Thanks so much for advice. I tried resetting all ribbons, tried new ones and still same result. When you say ICs, your talking about the ends of the ribbon cable?
I am at a lost right now. Generally replacing or flipping the ribbon cables work for me but not this time. Any other advice?

Checked everything. I even update the rom again and the same result. It was happening before update so don’t think that is issue.

The strange thing is during update, it was constant and then afterwards it happens very few changes in dmd screen.

Sometimes it will go horizontally but mostly vertically but always the same row or line.

2 dots just blink on test mode.

Tried the dmd test again and it is like 7 that blink now.
