Hello everyone. I am just starting a CV playfield swap. I have had this CV pf in a box for 10 years. Just opened it up.
I have 2 questions. The ball guides that press into the playfield, do you drill out the holes first to a specific size? Don’t want to crack the clear coat. I was thinking slight interference fit and just a rubber mallet to hammer the barbs into the pf.
Secondly, the bottom and the top side is not dimpled at all. Not too worried about lining stuff up as I have the old pf for reference. Just need to know if there is a certain way to prep the pf before going ahead with with wood screws for certain posts etc... Is a pilot hole necessary? What size pilot holes should be used to make some “dimples”.
Thanks for any suggestions or advice.
