I have a Gottlieb Mario Andretti Pinball Machine (1995) and I'm trying to go to the test feature. I turn on the machine->then open the coin door to press test button-> but machine turns off once I open the door so I cant do any tests.
(First time doing maintenance on pinball machine so might be doing the steps wrong)

There is an interlock inside the door that cuts power when the door is opened. The door pushes the switch when you close the door. You should be able to PULL the switch when the door is open to power up the game.

Post a photo if you can’t find the switch.
