    Hi all

I’m new to this. Looks like some battery corrosion on battery holder. Can anyone identify and leakage on the board or does it look pretty good? Thanks for your input.

doesn't look like it has leaked on the board yet, you could get a remote battery holder and remove existing holder.
There are other options to but this is the cheapest.

I will definitely do a remote holder. I see some dark areas underneath the holder. Not sure if it’s normal or a shadow. Not my game but I am looking to purchase.

The board looks clean to me. It looks like the leakage is contained within the holder for now.

Looks like whatever leakage has occured is contained within the battery holder.

Strongly suggest carefully unsoldering the holder and installing a remote holder.

It appears good. Will know better once your battery holder is removed.

I'm a huge fan of NVRAM. If you are not able to solder, find someone who can. Worth it to install it and forget about batteries forever.

Some of those solder joints on components immediately below the battery holder look a little oxidized.

It could just be shadow in the photo though, look carefully and if the solder is duller and/or rougher than the other joints a little lower you might want to touch them up. Just desolder and re-solder in place and then a light cleaning.

All in all, I agree that it looks good, I’ve seen many many magnitudes worse. Worst case you don’t have to replace any components. Also agree with the NVRam suggestion. The only game I don’t use it with is TZ where i want the clock keeping time.
