Replaced a dirty old vault with a shiny new one while doing a swap. The new one sits differently (as far as I can tell, everything on the part seems the same dimensionally, which further confuses me).

Old one is fine, new one is tilted and sits well below pf. The axel it sits on had 3 washers, and by moving one I got it close to flush, but it still has a slight tilt which could lead to balls hanging or extra wear. Anyone got any tips for leveling this thing?

There should be two or three shims between bottom of the playfield and the book case brackets.

You still have those to adjust it to the playfield slant ?

The big plastic nut is to raise or lower the platform.

Oh yeah, I lived through this before. Very frustrating. As LTG said you need the shims. Sometimes they fall out when removing the book case. They are small, flat, razor blade sized pieces of metal. I haven’t looked at the manual in a long time but I assume this would be detailed in there.

Aha. This must be the deal, because there are like 3 comments along these lines. Mine definitely didn't have them. Good to know that it's not necessarily supposed to be perfect out of the box though, there's peace of mind knowing I didn't somehow break something.

Shimming with washers doesn't seem to cut it. Maybe I'll 3d print some kind of gaskets to match the slope.

Thanks y'all!

They get lost. A lot. After shopping or repairs, people don't remember where they go.
