Hello,
I am kind of new to the site but bought my Addams Family machine about 9 years ago. Just today, the small flipper on the left side started to have a delay and is very weak. Too weak to even hit the ball across the playfield. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing that? Do I need to change the flipper assembly or the coil? I am not even sure what the best method of troubleshooting is. I read some posts and tried going to J104 on the board in the backbox and reseating the wires there, but that didn't change anything. I looked at switches (open ended kind) and nothing is touching. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

WOW! Thank you, LTG! I did exactly what you said, all looked good but the coil sleeve looked pretty dirty, so I cleaned it. Also, I replaced the coil stop as I had one in some spare parts from a new flipper assembly. Now it's working fine. And I didn't even have to pay a few hundred bucks to call the repair service. That is a very satisfying feeling! I appreciate you taking the time to respond. And I'm going to try my own repairs from now on!
