It's my first time updating a pin and I can't seem to get the metallica update to work. I've transferred the file to the flash drive, turned pin on, went to update code, flipped the sw1 switch to on , installed the flash drive , it says select to reboot or cycle on/off switch...... After that it just rebooting and no loading file comes on.... What the hell am I doing wrong?? Thanks guys

Make sure it is Switch 8 (the topmost switch) you are flipping to the 'on' position, not Switch 1.

Here's an instructional video from Stern:

This is what's driving nuts.....right after I flip the switch to on, then hit the white reset it won't let me do anything on the coin door, it's like the machine freezes

firstly its ...help an idiot out ....lol

I never hit the white button, I did the power cycle.

I've tried it both ways , when you turn it back on with the power switch it just has a blank screen. When you use the white button it just freezes what's on the screen at that moment

Alright I got it fixed.... I do my best thinking on the toilet, so I took care of that and then gave the pin the eagle eye and found that whomever at the stern factory assembled it jammed the boot Eprom in there and jacked up the legs on it, 3 were not even seated in

Great Yea, if it won't boot up when flipping the dip switch, it's a boot eeprom issue.
