Greetings from Canada !!!
I'm waiting for some parts for Jacks open, so in the meantime I turned my focus towards Abra CaDabra.
I did a full rebuilt, top to bottom, fixed most of the worms(special thanks to pinsiders for your help) I have one last worm!! Need some advice....

When pop bumpers are not lite, it's scores 100 points and it does each and every time, which is correct. But when they are lit, it suppose to score 100points. Problems is it only functions half the time, the other half it just fires, and zero score and no chimes
usually it has to hit one of the kickouts to reset the steeper whoppers and to see if next cycle is correct. Like I said half the cycles it does what it's suppose to do. The other half its dead...I'm set on 5 ball play

I will post 2 schematic pix for educational purposes only....
Thank you..

I got cheap phone so I can't highlight my version of the path, but pix #2 I got it going like this.....
When pop number are "on" the path is now br-wh-red is live and once lit bumpers are hit the path fires "b" relay( right/left pop bumper relay) contact looks nicely gapped and I gave it a courtesy clean.

Pix #1. I see the live power going through "on add 1000 unit" going through switch "b"(right/left pop bumper relay) wh-wire, then the wh-wire goes through" disc target relay" where the "on pop bumpers" should lead it down toward "L" relay gr-wh-red wire and score 1000point..... "L" relay looks clean and gapped nicely and the disc target bank spot steeper unit, was polished clean, functions correctly in my opinion. But on the disc relay I notice once In a while it skips one extra step ...

I noticed on my first pix of schematics I didnt show the "on thousands unit" path. I will try to repost for educational purposes...

What am I missing on this one???

I will be back at it this evening, any suggestions would be appreciated. I have 2 alligator clips but very little jumping experience.

I'd guess the I relay, which is an AS relay, is probably not working correctly. It's common for them to be a little bit sluggish and dirty. You noticed that it "skips a step" now and then - it shouldn't do that. The make/break switch on it should just alternate with each pulse from certain scoring relays (depending on whether you have the game set to 3 or 5 ball). When the m/b switch changes state, it routes the pulse through the B switch in series with it to either the L or M relays, so you get either 1000 (red path) or 100 pts (green path).

Have you disassembled one of those AS relays before?

@paulace. Thank you, that's the same path I drew up. So we are on the same page. I will focus a bit more on this "I" relay steeper unit

I never disassembled one before. I need to do a bit of research on these finicky as-type steepers

This will help

Can the problem be something else? "I" relay seems to function fine, clean, and clicks nicely along the gear& drive cam

Ok it's all good, that darn "I"relay has 3 contact leaf points. They looked good to me, but the middle contact point was the one that controlled the pop number scoring when it's lit, I cleaned with 400grit sandpaper and adjusted the leaf a bit tighter, it work!!! Thank you @ paulace for keeping me on path
