I have been wanting to make it to Helicon for a while now, but I finally did today. This is, by far, my favorite place to play pinball in the city. Helicon has great beers and a very relaxed environment. It is hard to believe there are no leagues playing there. They have a lot of games, and so many of them are LE editions of the newer games. It seems like they have virtually every new machine from a variety of manufacturers, including Jersey Jack, Stern, American Pinball and even the Lexi Lightspeed.

This is a brewery through and through. They are very friendly to pinball players. I spoke with Chris, the owner, and he is really a nice guy. Although it was a bit of a hike from Cranberry, it is something I plan to do most weekends. With food trucks on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, great beer, and incredible high end new machines, this place can’t be beat.

I realize there are other places to pin in Pittsburgh. I have been to all of them, including Kickback, the places on the Southside, Pinball PA and Pinball Perfection. This is definitely my favorite.

I am new to the hobby, but this is my new favorite place. J.J. POTC, LL, Deadpool LE, Medieval Madness Remake, TNA, Ghostbusters LE, Houdini, Dialed In, among many others, and most are in LE or Premium versions. It appears they can fit another 10 machines if needed. A really great, fun place, with great beer.

If anyone plans to start a league here, please let me know.

Any chance WH20 is ready by Sunday?

Hoping to see DI back in the rotation soon too.

This is such a great place. I am always impressed with the growing and well maintained pin collection. On the beer side, the Festbier, Helles, and the Double IPA are incredible.

I stopped in for a while this afternoon, and got to play the Beatles. Very fun game on location. It’s definitely not a deep game, but that loop shot is great.

JJPOTC is still my favorite in house. It’s an incredible game.

Happy to vote for Helicon Brewing this morning for Best Location for the Twippys (This Week in Pinball’s Awards Show).
