Helicon will be hosting a head-to-head, 3-strike tournament at 7:00pm on Wednesday, July 31st as a warm up to ReplayFX. The cost to enter will be $10 with 100% of the proceeds going to the prize pool. There will be at least one, maybe two food trucks and the brewery will be open later than usual with last call at midnight. Additional details and updates will be posted on the facebook event page https://www.facebook.com/events/946024392402925/.

Four Willy Wonka LEs arrived today. One is going to a friend and the other three are being set up now. All three will be available to play through the week of ReplayFX.

Four games have been added to the collection: Rack-A-Ball (1962), Houdini, South Park, and Cosmic Cart. The total games at the brewery is now 62.

Is there a way to reserve a ticket in advance or is it first come first served the day of the tournament?

Quoted from Ericc123:

There is no official reservation or ticketing system. However, you are here once, sometimes twice, a week, show up for many of the tournaments, and bring your family here quite often on weekends. You will absolutely have a spot in any pinball event at the brewery. I will be damned if a regular, brewery supporting customer doesn't get into an event. It might not be a popular decision but I stand by it.

That said, there are probably only 10-15 weekly pinball regulars and we are going to hold 10 spots for industry folks. That leaves at least 50-60 spots for out of town folks and others who never make it out here. I am also reserving the right to increase tournament participation to 100 players and make it groups of 4 instead of head-to-head. We will see how it goes. Can't wait!

Cheers!
Chris B.

We need to find a gorilla suit and a way to have it hold 2 of those barrels.

I think Chris B will volunteer for that.

I really need to come down to play Frontier since I have an empty Frontier cab that I've been slowly building a virtualpin into.

Thanks. So you post at 1:00 a.m. and then again at 6:00 a.m. With all you accomplish in a day, you either never sleep or you have a twin.

#722 4 years ago

I'll be working in Pittsburgh all this week, I'll have to make a trip to Helicon again. I see a lot of additions from the last time I was there.

I'll probably bring my GoPro.

Many factors. I work a lot. Tell my girls all the time, I definitely earn the fun we have. Haha. Doesn't come without sacrifices.

I can only assume there will be more food trucks during the week of replay. I'll ask chrisb when I see him. I'll try to get as much info for people as possible. Enjoy the festivities all! Good luck in the tournaments etc.

Turns out it will be Asado here on Wednesday night. They are the food tuck associated with Gaucho in the strip and are absolutely fantastic. The schedule for the rest of the week has been updated.

#738 4 years ago

This game arrived today. It is in absolutely pristine condition. It might be as wide as two regular pins.

My wife and I visited Thursday night for the first time. Had dinner across the street (Pepperoncini's-good solid bar food). As nearly everyone else posts....this is a great place with a great set-up. As an added bonus, my wife got her name and photo on one of the brand new Willy Wonka games (2nd high score of the day!). I am not beer conniosseur by any means (really a boring Budweiser guy), but I really liked the German Pale Ale and my wife loved the Raspberry Wheat.
If you are within driving distance, well worth the visit. We will be back and will bring our friends with us.

Wow indeed. Enough to make this Cleveland native want to road trip to Pittsburgh. Except that i’ve now lived in the Seattle area for more than 2 decades.

Great looking place.

I'm told there are many great sites to play pinball at on that side of the country. Helicon is another cool collection of people, beer and pinball. If you are ever on this side of the country again, let us know, we would be happy to host you.

Bummer. Hope to see you here. I am sure you will be impressed with the games at Helicon. It's a top notch collection and Chrisb is a class act. Let us know when you are going to stop out. I always like to meet our customers especially pinsiders! Cheers.

I'll be back in town this Thurs to Monday. Are there any changes to schedule or game availability at Helicon due to ReplayFX? I'm gonna check out ReplayFX, but I'd also love to stop by and support (and meet) you guys.

The games are ever changing. That's what makes Helicon so cool in my opinion. The pics of the games are everything that has been delivered. I think there is a full list at pinballmap but there also may be a way to view this on pinside. Let me check that out for you. One sec.

I guess what I was asking is whether the Helicon games will be available to play all weekend in light of ReplayFX?
